Wanted: Sunday Miracle

The see-saw battle this week for the lead will conclude tomorrow and it will be a miracle for Clayton to overcome the 10-point deficit to do so. Saturday's action concluded before the late game and it was Cristobel Huet (Stuart) who was the difference in the day, as he led the Capitals to the Southeast Division title and third place in the Eastern Conference. Surprisingly, in that win for Washington, Alexander Ovechkin (Clayton) didn't manage to get a single point in the 3-1 win. Ovechkin was the only one for Clayton who didn't register a point for him.

Clayton will have his chance to outplay Stuart with at least a goaltender start on Sunday afternoon, possibly two. Fortunately for Stuart, he does have his Red Wings going for him on Sunday in their 10:30am MT start against the Blackhawks. If it's a big day for the Red Wings, it should all but clinch the pool title for him by the time the other games hit the ice. This race won't even need the last game of the season, Phoenix & Anaheim, since neither team has those players.

For all intensive purposes, this contest should be all decided by 4pm.
