Bad news for the Minnesota Wild, as one of their top goal scorers has now been sidelined with a concussion, indefinitely. It was announced on Friday afternoon that Guillaume Latendresse will not be able to suit up for the Wild in their next game against the Kings on Saturday night, plus at least another week on top of that. It has been speculated that Latendresse was injured on a hit delivered by the Sharks' Douglas Murray in Thursday night's game, but there has been no verification of that to this point.
I know Latendresse was a fairly popular pick in Box 8 of the selection sheet pool this year, so I would expect to see a trade or two come down the line before Monday's puck drop.
