The Flyers have announced that they are expecting to have their captain Chris Pronger back in the line-up on Wednesday night, as they take on the Tampa Bay Lightning on the road. Pronger is on the early side of their injury projection of being out, having only been out for a couple of weeks and missing out on a very minimal amount of games.
Pronger is returning from a facial/eye injury after taking a high stick to the face from the Leafs' Mikhail Grabovski, but fortunately, he didn't suffer any major damage to his eye, as it was more swelling around it that caused him to spend some time in bed for a few days.
On his exit, Scott G., who has him in the pool, was sitting in 4th place in the standings, only 19 points back of 1st place and now, upon his return, he sits in 6th spot, 24 points out of 1st place. There was a little bit of a dip in his position, something Pronger may have had a great deal in helping, but these are the breaks in a hockey pool.
