On Saturday, just before their game against the Coyotes, the Blue Jackets coaching staff announced that forward Brandon Dubinsky will be on the shelf for the next 2-to-3 weeks with an elbow injury and that he has been placed on the Injured Reserve.
The 29-year old forward had already missed Friday night's contest against Pittsburgh and then was an obvious scratch against the Coyotes last night and it sounds like he'll miss a couple handfuls of contests in the next few weeks as well.
In terms of scoring this season, Dubinsky has been good for the Jackets, picking up 4 goals and 11 points in the first 16 games of the season and even after missing a couple of games, he is currently ranked 130th in pool scoring.
Dubinsky was a 7th round pick for Dale C., taken 183rd overall, which meant that Dale was getting some good value for his pick before the injury. He has certainly been a bright spot this season, as he currently is one of five players to have a positive ranking, compared to his draft spot on Dale's team. This could be a painful loss for him over the next couple weeks.
Dale finished Saturday night in 15th place, down a few places from last week's finish, 17 points out of the money.
