Goalie Announcements (Nov 17)

Scott and Dale B. were the first two teams to clear the Week Seven hurdle on a fairly busy Monday night, where there were six games on the schedule.  Quite the rarity for a Monday.  Still, it was a good night for points, as the games were pretty good for the pool.

Now, we're in for another big night, as there are another eight games on the docket, which should be good for goalies again in the survivor pool.

Now that we're down to eight teams left in the pool, six teams still needing wins this week, it's really dwindled down the key games of the night.  Derek W. and Ryan are the only two teams looking for wins with goalies in the starting roles tonight.

Derek will have a couple of goalies going tonight, as Steve Mason is the confirmed starter for the Philadelphia Flyers, as they play host to the Los Angeles Kings tonight.  That will be a tough game against Jonathan Quick (Brenda & Seward), who is expected to be on the other side.

Devan Dubnyk is the confirmed starter for the Minnesota Wild, as they take on Marc-Andre Fleury (John R.) and the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight at the Igloo, another tough game for Derek, but certainly has a good shot at the win tonight.

For Ryan, it is expected that he'll see Pekka Rinne in the Nashville net tonight, as the Predators will play host to the Anaheim Ducks, who played the night before, which leads to Frederik Andersen (Benson) getting the start tonight, since he wasn't in goal for the win last night.

Two more teams in the pool are expected to have a pair of goalies going tonight, as Brenda & Seward will have Karri Ramo and Jonathan Quick and Troy will have Sergei Bobrovsky and Cory Schneider, so they'll have a good shot at points, as they continue to run in the top half of the pool standings.
