Morning Player Notes in the Draft (Nov 3)

On Tuesday morning, sophomore forward David Pastrnak was given the morning off from practice, as he is nursing a sore foot after blocking a shot with it last week. The Bruins welcome the Dallas Stars into town on Tuesday night, a team that played last night in Toronto, but we're unsure if Pastrnak will be able to capitalize on the road weary opponents. He should be considered doubtful for the game, if he didn't skate this morning and day-to-day if he is unable to go. The suggestion was that the team was giving him a little extra time to heal up his injury, so we'll see.

Pastrnak was the 7th round pick for Eric this year and one of the few players on his team that had yet to be mentioned in the blog for one reason or another (it would seem).  If he was to sit, Eric would be missing out on some potential PIM, as Pastrnak does have 8 minutes already this season.

It sounds like Toronto Maple Leafs number one goalie Jonathan Bernier actually missed Monday night's start against the Stars with an undisclosed injury, handing the start over to James Reimer, who won it.  It sounds like Bernier's injury will cost him a little bit more than just one start, as the Leafs recalled Antoine Bibeau on an emergency basis, in all likelihood, to back-up Reimer for however long Bernier might be out.  We'll await to see what the prognosis is, before we get too crazy here.

I'm beginning to think that Bernier is already driving Cindy crazy, as he has made more than a handful of starts already and has yet to register a win.  Since Cindy's other goalie is down in the AHL, her team has yet to register a win, period.  Still, her team isn't in last place, rather in 21st, so getting a goalie going will certainly make a huge difference, if it doesn't come too late.
