Concussion Again for Burns

Some real bad news for the Wild and Brent Burns came down on Monday afternoon. The dreaded 'c' word, concussion, reared it's ugly head, which now has the blueliner sidelined, likely indefinitely. Burns has a history of concussions, which is probably the worst part of this whole situation, because bouncing back from the first concussion seems to be tough and a second one has historically been worse. Very unfortunate.

Burns was also having a pretty good start to the season in Minnesota, scoring two goals and eight assists in the first 21 games of the season. After missing the better part of last season with a concussion, there should be a lot of concern as to what he'll miss this time around. Hopefully its a minor concussion and he misses the minimum of one week, but who's really to say right now?

ImplicationsTiming is pretty well everything and this isn't good timing for Peter in the Draft pool. Peter did manage to get rid of a couple dead weights from his team during the Waiver Draft, so I'm not sure if he would have dropped Burns if he knew about the concussion.

On the Sheet, Burns is a part of Box 11 and was taken once. This should be good reason enough to make the drop, but with the leader only a difference of 6 points away now, you have to consider if the move is really worth it.
