Glencross Gets Three Games

Word has come down the pipe that Curtis Glencross of the Flames has been suspended for three games for his blindside hit on Chris Drury on Saturday night. As you can see in the video below, Glencross knocked Drury out of the game early in the first period with a hit that Drury didn't see coming and wasn't in possession of the puck, although it was being passed in his general direction.

There is no word on the extent of Drury's injury, but the suspension has been handed down anyways.

ImplicationsGlencross was taken three times in Box 6 of the Sheet pool, but missing only three games is nothing to panic about, when it comes to making a trade. He doesn't rank terribly well in the box, being behind Dustin Penner and James Neal, by a fair margin in scoring, so if you needed a reason to trade Glencross, that would be a better one. Glencross only has 6 points this season, while Penner has 21 and Neal has 17.
