Sheet Players Waived

According to TSN's Bob McKenzie, we have had a couple of players on the Sheet waived, likely for demotion, but there is likely a small chance that either team in this discussion wouldn't be terribly hurt if the player was claimed by this time tomorrow. Let's see which underachievers were placed on the wire this morning, shall we?

In Colorado, it's Box 5 forward, T.J. Hensick, who gets the nod for the slip. Hensick has only picked up a goal and two assists in seven games for the Avalanche and has been a healthy scratch more often than not with the club. I would really wonder if he's just not fitting in with the new coaching staff in place, but a trip to the minors would be more up his alley anyways.

Hensick was not selected at all in his box.

The Panthers decided it was going to be Box 30 defenseman, Ville Koistinen, to jump on the block on Wednesday. Koistinen has one goal and three assists in 17 games for Florida this year and has also been subject to the press box more than once this year. Koistinen is supposed to have some offensive upside, but the Panthers haven't seen it, so it will be interesting to see if he gets picked up.

Koistinen has been selected five times in his box, so there are a few teams hoping to see him claimed by another team.
