Things just keep getting worse for the Hurricanes, as now their usual back-up goalie has gone down with injury. Michael Leighton suffered a lower-body injury on Tuesday night and it doesn't look like he'll return for a while, as the team has called up Justin Peters to back-up Manny Legace. Leighton's injury is still a bit of a mystery, but he's still only listed as out day-to-day.
Maybe I should invest some time into an illness button, but I suppose the flu bug will work for now. The Oilers were without Mike Comrie on Wednesday night, as he's come down with Mono. He'll be out of the line-up for an indefinite period of time. Maybe I should make a Mono button... that would be alright, but rarely used.On the plus side for the Oilers, Sam Gagner returned to the line-up after a brief time out with a hip injury.
