Isn't it time we've forgotten about Nail Yakupov? It probably should be, but the 2012 1st overall pick continues to hover around and get opportunities and on Tuesday, he received yet another signing a 1-year, $850,000 deal with the Colorado Avalanche.
The Blues took a chance on Yakupov last year and he produced 3 goals and 9 points in 40 games, which is a long ways away from even being a fringe player, yet here he is. The Avalanche are short on depth and right now, can offer the 23-year old another shot with a great chance at being a roster player. Does that mean he'll get points? We're leaning towards 'probably not,' but you cannot truly know for sure.
