Morning Player Notes in the Draft (Nov 7)

The Arizona Coyotes are probably close to putting forward Anthony Duclair on the NHL's version of Kijiji, the waiver wire, as he has been a healthy scratch in four of the team's last five games, including Monday night's contest against the Capitals.  Duclair has not been able to find that everyday job on the retooled Coyotes squad, as he has only managed to appear in 12 games, scoring 3 goals and 5 points.  His numbers are not awful, but there has to be something more to the picture, which is leading to the scratches.

I'm sure Wilton wouldn't mind his player to find a regular spot on the Coyotes again or find a spot on another team that would have him for next to nothing.  Wilton's team currently sits in 12th place, but only managed a single point last night, in desperate need of that extra help.

An upper-body injury has sidelined Bruins forward Brad Marchand and it kind of snuck up out of nowhwere, it would seem.  The Bruins, already decimated by injuries at the moment, didn't really need the loss of their top forward over these last couple of seasons, but there he was, on the shelf for the game against the Wild, a game the Bruins managed to pull a win off.  As of Tuesday morning, it sounds like Marchand isn't going to be playing in the team's next two games on the road, as he didn't join his teammates for the trip to New York.  He'll be listed as day-to-day, but he won't be reevaluated until the weekend, by the sound of things.

Despite the bad news, Cam's team also had a pretty decent start to the week, picking up 6 points on Monday night, but it still sits in 13th place, 19 points out of the money.  Missing out on some Marchand games will certainly put a dent in his team's production in the next week or so.
