Evening Training Camp Notes (Sep 4)
The Boston Bruins will get an early jump on training camp and the preseason with a trip to China to take on the Calgary Flames. On Tuesday, the team announced their roster that will be heading overseas for their preseason schedule of a pair of games and notably missing for these showcase games will be Patrice Bergeron, Torey Krug and Zdeno Chara.
Both Bergeron and Krug are still rehabbing injuries from last season, Bergeron with a groin issue and Krug suffered a broken ankle in the playoffs and neither are 100%. Chara, on the other hand, is the elder statesman of the team and they had decided that it would be a little too much on the 41-year old, ahead of the long season.
All three players do seem to be on track for the start of the regular season, their first game is October 3rd in Washington, but it is something worth noting, as we draw closer and closer to the hockey pool draft.
