McDonald Expected to Sit

Tonight, the Blues host the Blue Jackets in a good Central Division match-up and they are expecting to be without veteran forward, Andy McDonald for at least tonight's game. McDonald suffered a mid-body injury over the weekend and was not able to practice with the team on Monday and it sounds like they will be holding him out tonight to heal. He should be considered as out day-to-day for the time being.

In 42 games, McDonald has 14 goals and 13 assists for the Blues. Going into this week's action, those 27 points has him ranked 131st in pool scoring.

ImplicationsMcDonald is a key player in the Draft hopes of Dale C. this year, who is currently in the middle of the money dogfight that is currently going on in the standings. Going into tonight, Dale is 4th in the standings, losing a tie-breaker for 3rd place. A forward game lost isn't too substantial, but the longer he remains out, the lessened chance he has to make it through.

On the Sheet, McDonald was not included in the Blues row. There was so much young talent to use this year, that McDonald didn't seem exciting enough to use.
