Pool News From Ottawa

The Senators played against the Capitals on Thursday night and they did so without the services of Chris Campoli, who was a healthy scratch again for the Sens. Campoli had an awful game on Sunday against the Flyers, going -3 and no points in the game, which was likely the best reason to scratch the defender. Campoli has not fit in well at all with Cory Clouston and the systems that are in place. It makes me wonder if he's on the block now.

Also in the game against the Caps, the Senators lost the services of Milan Michalek to an upper-body injury, but he is supposed to be re-evaluated today and more news will likely come down the pipe tonight.

ImplicationsBoth Campoli and Michalek are players taken in the Draft this year. Campoli is a draft pick of Wes' this year and will likely be a drop in the second round of next week's Waiver Draft, if he keeps on with this healthy scratch business. Michalek is a pick of Allan's, who may or may not be thinking of a drop, I guess the actual diagnosis will determine that implication.

On the Sheet, neither Campoli or Michalek have selections in the pool, so nothing doing there.
