The flu bug has been around the Calgary Flames dressing room a bit and on Tuesday night, for their game against the Predators, it was forward Rene Bourque who was left out of the line-up, because he wasn't feeling well. Much like Alex Tanguay before him on the weekend, I would imagine that Bourque should be good to go when the Flames play next, Thursday night in Tampa Bay.
Just another hit to Darren S.'s season, which hasn't been good, but it is only his first time in the pool, so I believe a lot of the mistakes he has made will benefit him in season's to come. The gap between himself in last place to 21st after Wednesday night's games now sits at 22 points.
Well, not having a training camp and only a couple of weeks of preparation for the regular season after signing a deal was going to have a negative effect on Coyotes' forward Kyle Turris, who was made into a healthy scratch on Wednesday night, as Phoenix took on the Ducks in Anaheim. Turris has 0 points in his first six games of the season, so you can see why he was made into a healthy scratch, as the coaching staff would prefer some hard work and some production from the young centre.
Turris was kept on through the first waiver draft by Ryan M. and despite not having any points, Ryan has now started his ascent up the standings. Over the last four weeks, Ryan has moved up four spots, now sitting in 18th spot and is only 3 points back of 17th.
