Sheet Player News (Dec. 6)

In what was thought to be a minor leg injury, Islanders defenseman Andrew MacDonald will now miss upwards of four weeks with this injury, although, details about the injury have been vague at best.  It looks like we'll be expecting to see the Box 28 blueliner until the New Year now, but I don't think he'll be missed in the pool, as no one would have been in a rush to pick him up, having only 1 goal in 22 games, thus far in the season.

An undisclosed lower-body injury currently has Box 29 defenseman Pavel Kubina off the ice for the Tampa Bay Lightning, missing out on Monday night's game against the Ottawa Senators.  Again, details here are quite vague, so we're assuming that Kubina is going to be on the shelf on a day-to-day basis, but much like MacDonald above, that could change just as easily, depending on what the injury is.  Kubina has 4 points in 25 games this season, which may lead to questions about whether or not this is a nagging injury that has kept his production down this season.
