It's hard to believe that David Krejci would actually be a healthy scratch, but he was scratched late and it would be much more likely that his lower-body injury is still bothering him, enough that he wasn't able to go on Friday night against Columbus. For the Bruins, this did give Alexander Khokhlachev the chance to show up in the line-up and the kid came up big, scoring the winner in the shootout. If Krejci was in the line-up, maybe the Bruins would have won before the shootout, but that's a hard point to debate.
Absolutely no luck for Benson this season, who is among the pool-lows for Week Seven's games played, finishing the night with only 15 games to his credit and he now has a 10-game cushion for the Jordan bobblehead.
It is going to be a busy Saturday, 13 games on the docket, including one game at 1pm MT. Lots of goaltending announcements have been made already, so we'll point out what we know already, prime you guys up for a big day of points and hockey action.
In the early game, we'll see the Blues visit the Senators and we expect to see Brian Elliott taking on Robin Lehner, which pits Clayton's goalie against a non-pool goalie. Could this be a steal of points from the pool?
Other confirmed goalies for the evening include Jimmy Howard of the Red Wings (Dale B.), Jhonas Enroth of the Sabres (Wilton), Kari Ramo for the Flames (Leo) and Carey Price of the Canadiens (Wes).
Out of all the probable keepers, this is where we'll see our pool teams prepare for a couple keepers, in theory. Allan, Dale B., Wilton, Troy and Wes are all set to stage both of their keepers tonight, if all the probables add up and the confirmed keepers keep their health for the evening.
Out of all the confirmed goalies, early on Saturday morning, we know that three more non-pool keepers are going, Thomas Greiss will be taking on the Islanders for the Penguins, Reto Berra will be hosting the Hurricanes with his Avalanche and Antti Raanta will be in the Blackhawks net for their game against the Oilers.
