Blues Without Steen Moving Forward

It has been a rough weekend for injuries and that carried over into St. Louis, where Alexander Steen was another player going down for a month.  Steen suffered an upper-body injury over the weekend and the Blues   His prognosis was a 3-to-4 week injury as well and this comes not long after the team was really starting to become healthy again, with the return of Jaden Schwartz last week.

There wasn't a lot of details about the injury that Steen had suffered, other than he only played less than three minutes against the Coyotes on Saturday, when the injury occurred, so the Blues have already basically played a game without him.

Steen has been having another pretty good season in St. Louis, before his injury, of course.  Heading into Week Twenty-One, Steen ranks 42nd overall in pool scoring, with 17 goals and 47 points in 61 games.

In the draft, Dale C. had been getting some bargain production from Steen, who was taken in the 4th round of the draft this year, but with the way scoring has been in the pool of late, Dale may be lucky to get his pick value from him, by the time he returns to action.  Dale's team is going to be hurting dearly without Steen, who has scored 11.3% of his team's points this year, his second best player on his roster.
