Stick a Fork in Ramo, He's Done!

The worst fears for the injury to Karri Ramo have been realized, as his regular season, at best, is done.  The Calgary Flames announced that the team's number one netminder this season has suffered a torn ACL and some meniscus damage in his knee and he is not expected to be back in the 7+ weeks left in the season.

Ramo has appeared in 37 games for the Flames, by far the most of the three keepers they have used this year, winning 17 games, earning 1 shutout and adding 1 assist for 37 points on the season.  At the time of this post, he was ranked 97th overall in pool scoring and falling quite quickly.

With this injury, the bid for 1st place for Brenda & Seward is in jeopardy, as their goaltending situation has been on rocky ground, since Jonathan Quick hasn't exactly been 100% down in Los Angeles either.  The pool's second duo finished Tuesday night in 2nd place, 1 point back of Jeremy, and they are losing the projected games battle for the rest of the week, thanks to injuries.

Grant, who has now moved up to 25th with a good night on Tuesday, will now have a regular goalie in the Flames net, as Jonas Hiller is his guy and barring a collapse or a surge from Joni Ortio, who was dropped earlier this year, he should be getting some starts.
