Afternoon Player Notes in the Draft (Mar 4)

The NHL Department of Player Safety announced this afternoon that Max Domi has received an automatic 1-game suspension for starting an altercation in the last five minutes of Thursday night's game against the Ducks.  The rookie was on the ice starting a fight with Ryan Garbutt in a pretty heated finish to the game, but ended up with an instigator penalty in the last five minutes.

Troy isn't have a whole lot of luck this week, as his team is among the three teams opening up the weekend, leading the pack in the Basement Dweller race.  Troy has three players on the Injured Reserve and now a suspension, so his weekend might be shot.

A bad bit of luck, saw a deflected shot hit Nikolaj Ehlers in the visor, drop onto the stick of Islanders forward Kyle Okposo, who won the game in overtime on Thursday night.  That deflected shot broke the Jets rookie's visor, injuring his eye and he won't likely be available over the weekend and potentially longer.  The Jets figure they should have a better timetable of the injury over the weekend, so we'll wait and see what the prognosis is.

Scott is at the opposite end of the spectrum heading into the weekend, leading the charge for the Mover & Shaker after Thursday night, up with 22 points and now sits 19 points back of the money in 7th place.  A good push over the weekend could make things very exciting for him.
