Goalie Announcements (Mar 17)

It's the midpoint in the week, the middle child, if you will... and no one will remember, because of all that green beer. For all of those lucky to have a goalie going tonight, he'll be mentioned in this afternoon's primer for action on this St. Patrick's Day.

Let's start in the money, where all the action is.  Ironically, where we start is the last game of the night, as the Los Angeles Kings are hosting the New York Rangers, where we'll see Brenda & Seward's only entry this evening, Jonathan Quick.  He'll get Henrik Lundqvist (Derek & Dan) at the other end, which has some potential to being a Stanley Cup Final preview.

With Brenda & Seward going first, that meant that Jeremy doesn't have a goalie going tonight and neither does Brian, our 3rd place team.  So, the money is taken care of right away.  John P, in 4th, doesn't have a goalie going, nor does our 5th place team, belonging to Neil.  Where's the intrigue tonight?

How about our Mover & Shaker candidates: Scott, Eric and Mike?

Scott will have Martin Jones going for the Sharks tonight, as they'll visit the Coyotes in Arizona and face-off against Mike Smith (Dale B.).  Eric will keep the pace with Thomas Greiss in the Islanders net tonight in Nashville, where he's expected to take on Pekka Rinne (Ryan).  Unfortunately for Mike, he won't get a goalie going tonight, so his team will have to keep up with his skaters.

What else do we know?  We're expecting Devan Dubnyk (Derek W.) to take on Keith Kinkaid (non-pool) in New Jersey, Eddie Lack (Wes) and Matt Murray (non-pool) in Pittsburgh, Jimmy Howard (Stacey M.) versus Sergei Bobrovsky (Troy) in Columbus, Roberto Luongo (Kristy & Don) up against Jonathan Bernier (Cindy) in Toronto, while it's Ben Bishop (Allan) and Kari Lehtonen (Dale C.) in Dallas.

Only a couple of non-pool faces out there, so let's hope they get smacked around a little and we keep the points in the pool.
