Race to the Sin Bin (Mar 9)

With Wes losing a little bit more ground this week to Derek & Dan, the highlight game of the PIM pool tonight could help out his cause a little bit.  The Colorado Avalanche have a date with the Anaheim Ducks at the Pepsi Center and both teams like a little bit of the back-and-forth, which could open the door for some minutes.

Wes will be represented by both Cody McLeod and Gabriel Landeskog on the home side, while he'll also have Ryan Kesler for the visitors in this one.  That's three reliable bodies for at least a couple of minutes tonight, one would think.

Derek & Dan's only semi-consistent representation in this pool tonight is Shane Doan of the Coyotes, as Arizona visits Vancouver tonight.  The Coyotes are not short on pool representation for the PIM pool, as Oliver Ekman-Larsson, if he's good to go tonight, has been good for Eric in this pool, needing a couple more minutes to get into a tie for the top five.

John R.'s quest for the top five isn't going as smoothly as he would have possibly hoped, but he will have Tom Wilson back on the ice tonight for the Capitals, as he is the best chance of getting close again.  Washington is in Los Angeles tonight, which has a bit of potential, given that Milan Lucic is on the other side, also looking to help Eric jump into the top five.

After those three games, there really isn't a lot to look forward to.  Let's hope that these are big games, since our PIM to GP ratio isn't nearly as good as previous weeks.
