Boedker Jumps in the Tank

The San Jose Sharks are not messing about in this off-season, as their taste of playoff success (or falling just short of the ultimate success) has them hungry for what they missed out on this past Spring.

The Sharks added even more offense to the lineup by signing free agent forward Mikkel Boedker to a new 4-year, $16 million deal on Friday.

The 26-year old hit unrestricted free agency after he split the 2016 season between Arizona and Colorado, playing in 80 games, scoring 17 goals and 51 points in the process.  He was the 80th ranked forward last season, which gives the Sharks even more fire power than what they had that took them to the Cup Finals in June.

If the lineup pans out for Boedker, he could see an increase in scoring production, which would make him into a very attractive pick-up at the draft in September/October.  The Sharks are going to be a popular team again, no doubt, and this kid will be right in the thick of things.
