The Bruins are down a man today, as Box 22 defenseman, Matt Hunwick, has been rushed to hospital with a spleen injury. The extent of the injury was not immediately known, but if it is a torn spleen, we shouldn't expect to see him playing any more in the playoffs this year. Hunwick, 23, enjoyed a good season with the Bruins, scoring 6 goals and 21 assists in 53 games with the big club and he really deserved his playoff pool spot. Six people have picked Hunwick for their playoff pool team, but being in one of the weaker boxes, he may not be missed too terribly.
Shane Hnidy is expected to take his spot in the line-up, if he is not good to go.
