Dubinsky was believed to have a line on the number one or number two centre job for the Rangers, meaning he'll get to play with some of the team's top players and new acquisitions.
In 2009, Dubinsky finished the year with 13 goals and 28 assists in all 82 games for the Rangers.
The lower cap hit for Dubinsky weighs in a little bit better than what his original demands were. Now the Rangers have 17 roster spots theoretically filled for a cap hit of approximately $51.7 million. There have been a good number of young prospects doing well at their camp this week, so they should be able to fill those last few obligatory spots with some reasonably priced talent.

The Rangers really needed this deal to happen to ensure that their forward lines had some pretty good talent on them when they start the season. It will be interesting to see who he'll be matched up with in the new line-up. Dubinsky's numbers should increase this season, especially if he can get linemates like Marian Gaborik or Chris Higgins.
