In somewhat of a surprising move, the Coyotes decided to send down two of their top prospects that saw a fair bit of time last season. Both Kyle Turris and Viktor Tihkonov were sent to San Antonio of the AHL to try and build up their skills. Both players were thought to be taking on a larger role with the team this season, especially offensively.
Now questions are raised as to who is going to take these two valuable spots on the Coyotes forward lines. Could Turris and Tihkonov be recalled before the season starts as a scare tactic? Kevin Porter seems to have a good line on a job in this preseason. Are the Coyotes in a position to make a trade to get some more offense at the moment? It's really tough to tell what is going on there in Phoenix, so all we can do from here is speculate.
