The Avalanche will have to wait up to six weeks to see the return of Tom Preissing to their line-up this season. Preissing is now expected to miss the first four and a half weeks of the season after getting his knee scoped on Tuesday.Preissing, acqured from Los Angeles this off-season, is not terribly high on the depth chart in Colorado, mostly because of an illness-shortened season in Hollywood and a trip down to the minors. He has some top end offensive talent from the blueline, but he'll have to wait some more to show it off.
