I think it's pretty fair to look back at playoff performances when looking at potential players in your fantasy draft each year, so it should be keen to mention that both Devin Setoguchi and Jed Ortmeyer were playing injured through the playoffs and had their numbers drop off a bit in the process. Both players underwent surgery to repair sports hernias, Ortmeyer had a double sports hernia to repair, and the prognosis does look good for training camp in September.
Setoguchi is coming off a disappointing season in 2010, finishing with 36 points in 70 games, but there was no word if the injury dated back into the regular season or not. Setoguchi is primed to be a restricted free agent on July 1st, but after a disappointing year, I don't think anyone will be tracking him down for an offer sheet. Ortmeyer, on the other hand, is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent this Summer and he finished the 2010 season with 19 points in 76 games. His scoring really doesn't leave much to be desired in the fantasy sense, since he ranked 274th among forwards.
I would remain weary with Setoguchi and only pick Ortmeyer if you have a ridiculously deep fantasy pool.
