When the training camp roster for the Philadelphia Flyers drops this week, expect to see Bill Guerin's name on the list, as he has accepted a tryout with the team. Guerin has been skating with the Flyers informally already leading up to camp, but will give trying to make their roster a shot, but unless he is willing to play for less money, he might not fit under the Flyers annual budget numbers. At worst, he will at least be skating with an NHL club during training camps and may be scouted by other teams during preseason games.
In 2010, Guerin scored 21 goals and 24 assists in 78 games with Flyers' state rivals, the Penguins. Guerin also had a cap hit of $2 million for his one season with the Penguins, a number that probably won't fit with the Flyers, if he required it again this year.
