The Predators have seemingly seen enough out of one of their prized prospects, forward Blake Geoffrion, and have demoted him to the AHL on Monday. Geoffrion signed a deal with much fanfare in June, but it looks as though he needs some seasoning before he makes the jump to the big club.The Predators now have 37 players at training camp and a training camp roster update will come with 30 or less players, which should come in the week.
Well, I thought Geoffrion was a lock by the way most people were talking him up, so I included him on the Selection Sheet in Box 9. This now makes him into a land mine on the Sheet, likely not going to get you any points in the very near future. Since he has only gone down to the AHL, he can come up and down as the team pleases. Geoffrion isn't a complete dud, but he does have to potential to be one.
