News is dropping that Roman Hamrlik will now miss the bulk of training camp due to a knee injury. The tweet that I have read is that Hamrlik will miss the next 2-to-3 weeks with this knee injury, which is the approximate length of training camp, which would put him ready for opening night, unless there is some extra rehab or practice that needs to go down.
This news means that the Canadiens will now be without both Hamrlik and Andrei Markov through training camp, which might open the door a little bit wider for guys like PK Subban and Yannick Weber to show off some important skills to the coaching staff.
The Canadiens' training camp roster should be dropping soon as well, so we'll probably have a better idea what the competition will be like for the open spots.
