The Capitals made their first round of cuts on Tuesday, just before they open their preseason campaign against the Blue Jackets in Columbus on Wednesday night. Included in the cuts was Anton Gustafsson, who I thought was going to get a better look at camp. Unfortunately, that wasn't to be the case and I would now believe that Marcus Johansson has some much smoother sailing to make the team as the team's second or third centre. Here is an updated post of their training camp roster after these new cuts:
