The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced that Jordan Staal is now expected to miss the next six weeks, because he is still in recovery from his foot problem that he suffered in the playoffs and had surgically worked on in the off-season. The last surgery was to help an infection that occurred after the first surgery to repair the torn tendon, so its been a battle for him this Summer.
With training camps opening this weekend and the season starting in a few weeks, Staal will likely be missing the first three weeks of the regular season, as per this new bit of news. In the first three weeks of the season, the Penguins will play nine games, but of course, there is no concrete date for his return, so its going to be our best guess at the draft.
