The 16th overall pick from this Summer's draft is now locked up, as expected. Forward Sonny Milano decided against going to play in the NCAA this year, instead opting for the Canadian Hockey League and the Plymouth Whalers, and being open to signing with the Columbus Blue Jackets, which he did on Thursday. Milano will be taking part in rookie camp for the Jackets this weekend, but with some of the prospect depth that the team already has, it is believed that he will end up in Plymouth before it is all said and done.
With Ryan Johansen unsigned still, there may still be an open roster spot, something that Milano could at least get a 9-game audition with the big club with as well. Something to watch out for.
