An injury concern from Sunday's scrimmage for the Ottawa Senators, as scoring forward Bobby Ryan left the exercise in the 2nd period with an undisclosed injury and was held out of the remainder of the game for precautionary reasons. In the afternoon, it was revealed that Ryan did get hit pretty hard and had his bell rung, but the team is saying that there are no concussion symptoms to be had, but the team likely won't risk him in any early preseason action.
Word from the Columbus camp is that forward Boone Jenner left the evening game against the St. Louis Blues with some undisclosed tightness, leaving the game for precautionary reasons. Jenner is tipped to be the guy to make up for the unsigned loss of Ryan Johansen to start the year, to which there could be a good projection increase, if that is the case. This early into the preseason won't adjust the projections, but by next weekend, draft weekend, the tune might change a little bit.
On Monday morning, it was reported that Lars Eller was not on the ice for the second straight day and has joined the injured list for the Montreal Canadiens. There are some reports of a lower-body injury on Twitter, but all reports are pretty vague. Eller had 26 points in 77 games for the Canadiens last season and is more of a fringe player, by my projections, so I wouldn't be getting too excited about whether or not he'll be ready to go for draft day.
