How about some good news in the injury updates today?
Boston Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid played in his first NHL action since January on Wednesday night, returning from ankle and quad problems that he suffered last season. McQuaid was set to be ready for camp and the regular season, so he never really made the injury list, but I thought it was worth mentioning, as some may consider him an option for the pool, while I only consider him to be a fringe defender.
More good news, you ask? Why, sure... Bobby Ryan of the Ottawa Senators came back to the line-up in one of the split squad games against the Leafs on Wednesday night, picking up a 3-point night in the process. Ryan was day-to-day with an upper-body injury, but I think it is fair to say now that he is in good shape and ready to rock in the regular season.
