No brand new injury news this afternoon, but I thought I would get a quick goalie post in, just to cap off the day on the blog.
I think it would be prudent to outline the new goalies in the pool that are going tonight, as Cam Talbot is going to get the start for the Rangers against the newly-dropped James Reimer and the Maple Leafs. Not a bad start for Brian and his new goalie. Andrei Vasilevskiy will have a tough task in his first game for Ryan in the Tampa net, taking on Pekka Rinne in Nashville tonight. Tony will see his new pick-up, Ray Emery, as the Flyers visit Carey Price and the Habs.
Of course, Rinne will be Kristy & Don's only shot tonight of staying in the goaltender survivor pool, as Brenda & Seward have locked in for another week already,
I thought it was somewhat surprising that no one took a flyer on Niklas Svedberg in Boston during the Waiver Draft, as he gets a start against Benson's Kari Lehtonen and the Dallas Stars. Only one other non-pool goalie going tonight include, Ilya Bryzgalov going for the Ducks.
Notable starters otherwise see Wyllie's Jhonas Enroth going for the Sabres, Stacey C.'s Viktor Fasth in net for the Oilers, Mike's Jake Allen in net for the Blues, Stacey M. sees Darcy Kuemper taking on Cam's number two guy, Winnipeg's Mike Hutchinson.
Should be an interesting night in the pool and all the games are early tonight, just as a heads up.
