A member of the 2010 edition of the Injury Prone List, Joffrey Lupul returns to the sidelines with a re-aggravated knee injury, something he had just come back from and hurt again. The Toronto Maple Leafs expect to have him on the shelf for at least the next week.
There wasn't any word on whether or not Lupul will be heading back to the Injured Reserve, but if he is going to be out for at least a week, the team would likely be better off with him on it, as it would open up a roster spot for someone in his week away.
This season, Lupul has only been good for 9 goals and 10 assists in 32 games with the Leafs, which has him ranked 282nd overall in pool scoring.
Brenda & Seward took Lupul with the 165th pick in the draft this year, down in the 8th round, and as much as he hasn't been the worst pick in that round, but he certainly hasn't been a bargain pick this year.
The pool's second duo sits only 10 points out of 8th place, down in 12th place. The loss of Lupul won't likely break them, but I'm sure they would have preferred to have him healthy in this next stretch of games.
