The Los Angeles Kings announced that they signed depth forward Trevor Lewis, an impending unrestricted free agent, to a new 4-year, $8 million contract extension, likely in hopes that he can improve his production, starting in the 2017 season.
Last season, Lewis was good for 8 goals and 16 points in 75 games with the club, but that was well below the pool worthy rankings in the end. The multi-year deal is a good sign that the club has big plans for the 29-year old, even if it is only in a bottom six role.
