On Wednesday morning, the word came out that forward Riley Sheahan re-signed with the Red Wings, inking a 2-year deal, reportedly worth $2.075 million per season against the cap.
Last season, Sheahan was just on the outside looking in on the pool worthy rankings, finishing the year in 219th, with 14 goals and 25 points in 81 games. Depending on how the Red Wings shake out this off-season, the 24-year old could end up with a little bit more responsibility when it is all said and done and he could be a late round add for your pool team, if everything turned out okay.
Detroit remains one of the pivotal teams in this off-season, with their major contract questions, leading up to the final cap ceiling number, but this deal is quite reasonable over the next couple of seasons.
