Race to the Sin Bin (Feb 27)

We go into the last Saturday before the trade deadline and Wes has opened up a little bit more of a gap between his team and Derek & Dan's side, now up to 20 minutes. 20 minutes isn't all that much at the end of the day, a good fight, instigator and misconduct can bring a team back into a double-minor for the lead, right?

Lots of afternoon action on Saturday, five games on tap before Hockey Night in Canada even kicks off, and then there are another four games in the evening.

The marquee game between our top two teams in the PIM pool will be the Ottawa and Calgary match-up, where we'll have four players between the two teams going head-to-head.  The Senators found a little bit of feeling in their game against Vancouver on this trip, so it's not out of the question that we see some fireworks tonight.  Chris Neil and Mark Borowiecki are notable for the Senators, while the Flames don't have as big of guns in the pool, with only Mark Giordano and Dougie Hamilton being represented here.

Derek & Dan outmuscle Wes tonight in the players department, 10-6, so that 20-minute gap may be challenged a bit before the end of the night.  Here's hoping that someone keeps this pool interesting.

This week's leader in the goon pool is Mike; his team has 25 minutes in penalties through five nights and his team will be well represented on the ice on Saturday, at least eight of his players will be active and on the ice, trying to egg on those minutes.
