On Monday, the Calgary Flames announced that they have re-signed veteran forward Curtis Glencross to a new 4-year deal, worth $10.2 million, which works out to be a $2.55 million cap hit per season. The deal is also supposed to include a no-movement clause as well.
The 28-year old forward had a pretty decent year, despite a lacklustre team around him, scoring 24 goals and adding 19 assists in 79 games for the Flames. His flexibility within the team's line-up is a major asset, but his pool value is somewhat limited in the regular season.
With the Flames' Pool Outlook just around the corner in the next few days, I will be waiting to get the team update done for the time being. The Flames will have a fairly full roster and not much space left under the salary cap, so it could be a very interesting look at their Summer ahead.
