For Game Two of their series on Monday night, the Philadelphia Flyers were again without defenseman Chris Pronger, but this time it is speculated to be a back problem that is keeping the hulking defender out of the line-up and he is not expected to be back for Game Three, which goes on Wednesday night in Boston. Not good news for the Flyers, who are already down a couple of games in this series and are fearing the 8-ball's appearance here, right away.
High hits in Game One forced both Simon Gagne and Pavel Kubina to miss both Game Two and Game Three in the Lightning's series against the Capitals. Gagne suffered an upper-body injury, but is considered to be day-to-day for the time being, while Kubina suffered a head injury, not listed as a concussion (yet) and remains doubtful for any more action in the near future. Both injuries look tough on paper, but the Lightning have continued to win, so their return may just serve as a bonus, if and when they get the green light to go.
