Maybe he'll be out. Then he's definitely out. Now, he's out indefinitely and has been placed on the Injured Reserve.
This has been the morning with Columbus' Brandon Dubinsky, if you have been keeping up with the posts today, Dubinsky has been downgraded a couple of times today and I think we've now reached the boiling point, as he is now listed as out indefinitely with his lower-body injury.
Dubinsky gets added to a list, which already includes forwards Nathan Horton, Boone Jenner, Brian Gibbons and defenseman Ryan Murray. The Jackets are a big group of walking wounded and their early playoff hopes have taken a pretty good hit, since Ryan Johansen had yet to join the team after signing his new deal on Monday.
Dubinsky belongs to Dale B., who now takes a hit on his projected games for the coming week of action, as his team drops to 31 games, which is tied for 11th in the pool in this category.
Last season, Dubinsky was a 50-point player for the Jackets, playing in 76 games and had been dealing with some nagging things through the year as well. I had him projected for another 50 points, which would be a huge help to Dale B.'s season, especially as a 10th round pick-up in the draft. He was definitely working his way into being a big bargain in the draft, if he wasn't getting hurt at this point.
We will probably know more about the injury on the weekend and an update will likely be posted when it comes down.
An updated list of injuries can be found here.
