There was one injury report from the Flames and Coyotes game on Thursday night, as Calgary forward Curtis Glencross left the game early with a lower-body injury, not to return. The Flames don't play again until Saturday night in San Jose, so we'll hope for an update before then, otherwise, Glencross will be listed as out day-to-day.
After Thursday night's games, Glencross ranks 137th overall in pool scoring with 8 goals and 26 points in 44 games with the Flames, which is just okay production for Mike, who has him in the pool this year. Mike's team has been hovering at 18th spot for the last few weeks, taking a tumble after hovering in the middle of the pack through the Waiver Draft.
It was a return to the press box for Lightning rookie Jonathan Drouin on Thursday night, as the Bolts took on the Oilers. Drouin has been a healthy scratch on a number of occasions, surprisingly not fitting in as well as one may have expected for the dynamic forward. This is already 10 scratches for Drouin this season, yet he is still going to represent the Lightning at the All-Star Game, during the Skills Competition.
Dale C.'s entry in the rookie scoring race has not been Calder Trophy worthy this year, but actually hasn't been too terrible (beyond the scratches) either. Drouin has 18 points in 35 games this season, but only 2 goals in those 18 points, which may be part of the issue. He's got plenty of time to improve, but not for Dale, as half the year isn't quite enough.
