Another All-Star has opted out of the exhibition weekend, thanks to some injury troubles... Colorado Avalanche defenseman Erik Johnson will miss the festivities, which begin tonight with the Fantasy Draft. Since Johnson played 23 minutes against the Boston Bruins on Wednesday night, he will also be forced to miss out on Tuesday night's game against the Predators or else face suspension for abandoning the showcase of the league's top talent.
Johnson is having a pretty good season for Wes this year, scoring 12 goals and 23 points in 47 games with the Avalanche, but missing out on the All-Star Game means that Wes, before any more replacements are named, has only two players going to the game.
