Player Notes in the Draft (Jan 19)

Seven games on a Monday? Oh, right... there are only three nights of regular season action in Week Sixteen. I guess they better get those games in then.

Since it's Martin Luther King Jr. Day in the States today, we do have one matinee game, which means I should get this post out there to make sure you know who is starting.

Philadelphia is on Long Island for the Flyers/Islanders game today and the only pool goalie to go in this one is Jaroslav Halak, which is good news for Tony.  The Islanders have been good and the Flyers have not, which will be tough on Rob Zepp, who mans the other net today.

Not many confirmed goalies early on Monday, but here is what we know, thanks to goaliepost.com.  Jonathan Bernier will be in net for the Leafs against the Hurricanes today, taking on Anton Khudobin, a non-pool goalie, while Ryan Miller is expected to be in net for the Canucks in Florida.  Brian Elliott is getting the call for St. Louis tonight, expected to take on Semyon Varlamov of the Avalanche.  Joni Ortio has the reins in Calgary, taking on the Kings, as Cory Schneider should be taking on Alex Stalock in the Devils/Sharks game, late tonight.

Doesn't look like there should be any more surprises today, as teams try to squeeze out as many points as possible before the All-Star break.

An updated list of injuries can be found here.
