We're continuing on with Grant Watch here for the goalie survival pool and Friday is not looking so good either. His is the only team in need of a win and as much as one of this teams are playing, his goalie may not be getting the start.
It doesn't sound like Henrik Lundqvist is in the best of shape these days, which isn't ideal for Grant's team, and it sounds like Antti Raanta is going to get back-to-back starts with this one in Chicago tonight. As expected, with an injured goalie on the other side, Scott Darling will get a start for Scott's team as well and we have the makings of a battle of back-ups tonight as our headliner.
Jeremy won't get both of his goalies going in Buffalo tonight, as the Washington Capitals have opted for their back-up, Philipp Grubauer, to go against the lowly Sabres, who will start Jeremy's keeper, Robin Lehner. 2 points is not a sure thing in this game.
It will be Mike's goalie against Stacey C.'s in Detroit tonight, as Sergei Bobrovsky will take on Petr Mrazek. The two former Western Conference division rivals will go head-to-head, reliving some previous rivalry memories.
Both of Mike's goalies get to go tonight and in the second game where has a keeper, Jake Allen, he'll get a non-pool goalie to go against here as well, as Keith Kinkaid get the nod with the Devils going on back-to-back nights again.
This should be a good game in Minnesota tonight, as the Edmonton Oilers travel to St. Paul to take on the Wild tonight and it brings us the match-up of two hot goalies. Cam Talbot will go for Marcie's sinking team, while Devan Dubnyk will go for John's soaring team, two pool teams going in opposite directions.
Finally, in the night's late game, Martin Jones will go for the San Jose Sharks will go up against Jonathan Bernier for the Anaheim Ducks on the pond. This will be a Wes versus Eric game in the pool.
