The Philadelphia Flyers' blueline is starting to take some hits in the last week, already without Shayne Gostisbehere to an upper-body injury against the Red Wings on Sunday, they also lost the services of defenseman Mark Streit in the game. The veteran suffered a sprained shoulder and on Monday, the team announced that he would miss the next two weeks with the injury.
Streit has been good so far this season, picking up 5 goals and 16 points in the first 31 games of the season, which has him ranked 146th overall in pool scoring, 19th among all defensemen. He is also averaging over 19 minutes of ice-time a night for the Flyers, so it's a big workload to fill.
As for Scott in the hockey pool, Streit has been his most productive defenseman, to date, in the pool this season. Scott's team is tied for 14th in defenseman scoring, as of Tuesday morning, which hasn't accounted for the better part of his points, as his team has moved into 3rd place on Monday night. The loss of Streit may make it hard to maintain that spot, given how much competition there is there at the moment, but the loss won't hurt him too badly.
